The In-Between

Editor’s note: Originally written on July 9th, 2018. This post continues to evolve as I do. It’s updated to reflect growth, gratitude, and perspective gained since then.

Welcome, kind souls and fellow wanderers.

Lately, I’ve found myself in a strange in-between, stuck somewhere between hope and hesitation. I’ve been applying, interviewing, doing what I’m “supposed” to do after college… yet I still haven’t landed that job. And the longer the wait, the harder it gets to stay motivated.

Some days it feels like i’m doing everything right, but I still question if I’m enough. Was my major worth it? Am I missing something, on my resume, in my skills, or in me? It’s tough not to spiral when life feels paused while the world keeps spinning.

But I’ve realized this: even in the in-between, I’m still learning. Still growing. Still showing up. I find sparks of inspiration in nature, in conversations, in my art, and sometimes even in stillness. If you’re in this liminal space too, you’re not alone. Keep going, but do so gently. Give yourself grace.

You’re not behind. You’re becoming.

As a signature of my blog, I’d like to end this post with a suggestion to “Pass on kindness.” There’s no time like the present to Inspire Those Who Inspire You. Acts of kindness, no matter how big or small, can have a direct, positive impact on someone else. Go out there today and change someone’s life for the better!

Hi, I’m Kelci — a wanderer of thoughts, collector of moments, and believer in the quiet power of truth. I write to make sense of the mess, to find meaning in the mundane, and to honor the beauty in being fully human. Inspire Those Who Inspire You is my love letter to those who’ve felt too much, hoped too hard, and dared to keep going anyway. You’re not alone here—and that matters.
